Salsa

Salsa originated from Cuba, but has gained popularity all over the world.

Salsa is normally a partner dance, but there are also recognized solo forms such as suelta. Rueda de Casino (salsa in a circle) is another recognised salsa variant where multiple couples exchange partners in a circle.

There are many different variations of salsa that have evolved from the original dance, such as LA Salsa, New York Salsa, Salsa on 1, Salsa on 2 and Cuban Salsa.

Salsa in Malaysia has quickly become the most popular social partner dance, and in fact in Kuala Lumpur there is at least one place to dance salsa socially every day of the week.
